Jusque

Typing
I once had lessons for touch typing. It was a very long time ago, when I was in High School. Before that point, I'd not had to type very often, so I wasn't a very good typist. I do recall, however, that I was exposed to Mavis Beacon Touch Typing in elementary or middle school. But that never really left an impression.
The main goal of learning how to touch type is to improve typing speed and accuracy. The speed part isn't terribly difficult, but the accuracy part is. It is especially difficult for me, as I tend to be too much of a perfectionist. I worry about making too many mistakes and correcting the mistakes I make. The whole experience quickly becomes tedious.
I can't imagine trying to learn DVORAK layout.

J’ai mal
I appear to be coming down with something. I’ve got a sore throat, headache, I’m tired and achy, but not congested. I don’t have a fever or the chills so I don’t think it’s the flu. But if it is, it’s coming on very, very slowly.

Je suis le nerd
This is going to be a nerdy one.
Firefox 4: Mozilla made a big deal about how Firefox would start using the computer’s GPU to help render web pages. Well, pages do render faster, especially high-end pages. However, the downside is that the font rendering is crap.
This is with the D2D turned on:
This is without D2D turned on:
(and yes, you’d need a closer look to tell the difference).
What sucks is that the whole program is affected. It’s not just the pages that have horrible looking fonts; the actual program itself looks like crap, too.
I suppose I’ll just leave that turned off until it’s fixed.

C’est ça!
This is a picture of a small pool. You can’t see it very well, but there are turtles swimming in that pool. This was taken at McConnell Springs Park in Lexington, KY. I watched the turtles for almost ten minutes; they seemed very happy swimming in circles. I guess it’s difficult to determine the emotional state of a turtle, but I’ll assume they were happy.

J’écrais
I was slightly bored this evening, so I decided to clean up my Documents folder. I got rid of a lot of stuff that was junk and I cleaned up the rest. Then I uploaded it to the cloud, so to speak. I'm still trying to decide whether I like Office Live or Google Docs. Office Live seems to be better and handling the documents, it seems.
